It's so much fun!! I have no family, so I made a family to do it with- my muslim fiance, my buddhist friend from japan, my agnostic chinese-american, and my muslim desi friend. :) plus my christian and sikh roommates. Oh and the amanda girl? She's pagan, but she waited and broke my fast with me so I didn't need to eat alone.

Gnoccho should be done now. Strain them. Let them sit as you add in some parm to the sauce. Once the fresh parm is stirred in, add the gnocchi. Just make sure the sauce covers all the past, my picture actually has too much sauce, and then cover it. Let it cook for 2 or 3 minutes before serving straight from the pan onto people's plates.

Serve with garlic bread and salad. :) Have pepper and parm on the side for picky eaters who need even more spice to their food.

If you have it, buy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broccolini rather than normal broccerli.

You chop it up chunky, and put it in a bowl. You then finely chop elephant garlic, parsley, oregano, and maybe even half a teaspoon of basil. Place this is another bowl.

Take out your spices, onion salt and cenyee pepper and parmigiana plus sea salt for the pasta water. Set it aside

Now you start to boil the water in a big pot. Use a lot of water since the gnocchis rise when done-- you don't want them sitting on top of teach other when cooking. Hold back on salting the water till one moment before you dump the to-be-cooked gnocchi package in.

Take a large pan, one where you could put everything in and serve with, and coat it with oil. Once the oil is heated add the brcolini. Saute it for 3-4 minutes. Now add the garlic etc bowl. Once the garlic is browned you add the spices. Let it all cook together for 2 minutes, and now you should be ready to add the gnocchi to the water with the sea salt.

Once this is done, the oil needs to be nearly gone. Add in jar alfredo now. I like to use http://www.classico.com/light-alfredo-sauces/light-asiago-romano-alfredo-pasta-sauce.aspx..

Stir in the spices+seasoning+brocolini int othe sauce. You should have streaks of oil in there, that's ok, just keep on stirring. After a minute or so of doing that put it on medium heat, should be on low heat when sauteeing (or i do that b/c i'm afraid of fires), Once the alfredo begins to bubble stir it again. Turn down to low heat after a minute of bubbling.

There's meat. The first dishes from Eid al Adha are heavy on the meat excluding the baked ziti.

I don't cook meat often I don't eat it, and it's hard for me to buy. I need to buy halal meat which is Muslim-Kosher for lack of a better term. There isn't much of a price difference, but as my meat eating friends don't request for me to cook meat for them often I end up never stocking up on it and cooking with it even less.

Thank you both!!! It's nice to be able to share my cooking with someone new for once. :D

These photos are just taken with my cell phone actually.

I do.

They're excellent in caprese sandwiches and garlic+oil sauces.

While the rest of this stuff is either from my mom teaching me as a child or me figuring out because I added too much curry powder in this sone time and it came out amazing-- oh yeah trial and error; this is not.

I wanted to make shrimp alfredo, and one of the first results on google was making shrimp alfredo but stuffing it into shells. I thought it came out only ok at best, but my boyfriend devoured that whole pan by his lonesome.

No, if you haven't guessed yet I'm a Muslim Italian-American girl.

I do like Arab food though.

Here is some homemade falafal (first attempt) with (store brought) hummus flavored with red pepper flakes. The salad is persian cucumber with soy+sesame vinaigrette.

I was bored, kinda like I am now, and tried a garlic+lemon+oil sauce with parm and black pepper. Came out decent.

I can bake brownies, so I thought brownie cupcakes wouldn't come out too horrific.

It's griddelli brownie mix where they have the choco chunks in the mix. I added rose water and coconut. I frosted it with orange blossom frosting. The candy is just for fun- it's pure sugar.

This is what they look like 3/4th of the way. Just make sure to have the extra red batter on all of them; I only have the white parts showing to show you guys how there's a creamy center. (and it actually happened! the box wasn't lying about that bit!)

Baking also scares me.

I had to try it though. My only secret is two or three cap fulls of rose water. :)

Here is what I used to create red velvet Halloween cupcakes!

Add leftover red sauce, like a third of a jar, to the oil. Make sure nearly all the oil is gone though so don't add too much like in the other dish that relies on oil for a sauce.

Serve with ricotta. Put parsley on top for extra fancy ricotta.

This is great for when you have left over red sauce and left over ricotta from cooking baked ziti.

Don't taste as food as the restaurant? Lack some spice?

Microwave broccerli again to quickly defrost it, and then put it in a pan with chopped garlic, chopped parsley, and chopped oregano plus a bit of black pepper and onioin salt. Cook it all together for 10-15 minutes until all the oil is gone but the pan is still very hot and add in the pasta.

As the pasta cooked on the stove put the breadsticks in the oven. Another tip- right before going ask for extra breadsticks. Once they give it to you ask for a to-go bag for them.

Serve like so!

This doesn't work for a lot of their dishes, but it sure as Ash loves Pikachu made the alfredo taste better!

Cook tri-color rotini, and once the pasta is in the big pot take a medium size pot and put it on medium flame.

Add olive oil, garlic salt, onion salt, cenyee (oh cenyee! It's also in the mexican stuff, sorry!), dried basil, dried parsley, and dried oregano. Once the oil is sizziling add in a half cup of broccerli that you defrosted/cooked by putting it in the microwave for two minutes. Once the broccerli is soft, so like 2 more minutes, the pasta should be done.

Drain the pasta and dump it in the put. STIR IT VERY VERY FAST and put the flame on medium-high (you probly lowered it to not burn the spices after the inital shock for heating it all quick). There. Lunch in 10 minutes!

Serve with salad or random crappy frozen fish dish.

You can also just cook it with peppers and serve it plain with tortillas for breakfast. Not the most fancy thing in the world, but it's cheap and yummy.

Well, not really. More like mexican seasoning, lots of curry powder, basil, peas, broccoli, and soy sauce cooked in sesame and olive oil.

As I said, Asian food scares me, so this is the best I can do. It tasted wonderful BTW; a lot better than the soup!

I like asian food, but feel intimidated with cooking it. Here is some Miso soup with soba noodles and a dash of soy sauce-- or well, what is needed to make that happen!
