myself I don't mind cold duck, but if I wanted to heat it I would just use it in some other asian style dish, like noodle soup, fried rice, etc

I prefer to add my flavorings to the broth as it's cooking, then add the noodles. that way, the flavors meld together and soak into the noodles properly

I don't understand why people break the noodles up, at least not if they're actually going to cook them. raw, one wants smaller pieces, but cooked the texture is better when the noodles are long

I like bean sprouts, miso and sesame, but I'm not a huge fan of eggs or seaweed. also, that reminds me, I added a pinch of dried shiitake mushrooms to my soup, and fried the onions/garlic/ginger in sesame oil

how do you prepare your instant ramen?
just made a pack and a half of this, cooked it in some vegetable stock further flavored with onion, garlic, ginger, black pepper, chili powder, allspice, nutmeg, cumin, cinnamon, soy sauce, and about half a pack of the ramen seasoning. so damn good, very flavorful and all the spices are really warming

>a decent quantity of hearty soup with lots of cheese and bread
definitely a full meal

>> No.10093904 [View]

depends on how thick/hearty the soup is, what one serves it with, and how much one has. I'm making some sort of thin chicken soup right now, but since I'm going to have a large bowl of it with some rice, I'd say that qualifies as a full meal

there is no milk like fresh Jersey cow milk, and after I lost access to it, I largely stopped drinking milk altogether. pasteurized milk that's been sitting in a fridge for a week is just not the same, even almond milk is better than that

a 24/7 bar/sandwich shop built over a rail line, next to a station. the food would be fairly standard fare (sandwiches, soups, salads, etc), made with local ingredients, but the setting would be what makes it special. either that or a naan wrap restaurant chain

>> No.10056444 [View]

none of the above, bread is undeniably the best form of carbs. goes with everything, and requires no plates, utensils, any of that. hell, bread can be all those things and more

not enough to overwhelm the flavor, just a bit for a slight heat. I'll add maybe 0.5-1tsp in a large batch. dill could work, so could chives, or even oregano

I'd replace the onion and garlic powder with freshly minced garlic, and add black pepper/a little bit of chili powder

could use more extra spicy meme sauce, you like 'vark or 'cha?
