You can make carrot picadillo, one of my favorites from my homeland. I guess you could say the meat is more central, but the carrot is equally important. It's super easy! You can also combine it with potatoes if you want.

1) Chop carrots into tiny square pieces.
2) Cook ground beef with onions, garlic, red bell pepper, and season to taste. I use salt, pepper, paprika, and some cumin.
3) Once the beef is cooked, add the carrots in.
4) Add a tiny bit of beef broth (although works just as well with water) cover and let it sit on medium-low heat.
5) Cook until your carrots are soft. Keep adding broth or water if it has evaporated and you still haven't cooked your carrots.

It's supposed to be moist, not watery. Anyways, good luck!

You should make one! I would love to make it someday. Pasta is something I really need to improve, especially my sauces.

Milk, milk, milk, milk. (we go through it like crazy) Cereal too.
Cheese
Turkey slices
bread
all kinds of fruits (mainly bananas, apples, pears and oranges)
oatmeal
rice

Everything else is relative to what we're cooking.

Not really answering your question, but, if you want good balsamic and have a Trader Joe's in your area, they have a really great store brand that isn't super expensive.

Are you Gaston?
Anyways, lol yeah, it sucks. I have no problem with sharing food at all but I hate it when people take my shit without asking because it's a direct act of disrespect. Basically "I give no fucks about you or boundaries." And well, they wouldn't just take a little bit, they'd take ALL OF IT.

Lol, food and roommates. The war zone. Reason why I'm moving out right now, actually.
Everyone was supposed to just buy their own shit. If someone needed something from someone else, all they had to do was ask.
It sucked balls coming back home after a long day of class, just wanting a bowl of cereal, only to realize your entire new milk carton was gone. Or your sandwich meat. Or an ENTIRE DOZEN EGGS IN A WEEKEND.

ugh, still mad.

My lentil soup:
three-4 tomatoes, chopped up.
100g of lentils
some chicken breast, cut into chunks
turmeric (KEY INGREDIENT)
chicken bouillon
half an onion
garlic

1) Cook the garlic, onion and turmeric in a little bit of olive oil. Add in the lentils and stir around. Give it like 3-5 min.
2) Add the tomatos, chicken, and water until you cover everything up. Add the chicken bouillon cube (or salt to taste), stir.
3) Bring to a boil, then simmer covered for about 20-30 minutes or until lentils are tender.

Done! Serve with rice, a tortilla melted into the soup (it's yummy!) and avocado.

No, I really don't. I was told multiple times that they were pan-fried (the batter around the octopus) to get the crispy flavor. Not deep fried, but fried anyways? I always thought it was that way, but if it isn't, then I stand corrected.

Otherwise I don't really like fried food.

It's still like that over where I'm from (Costa Rica). The pizza is actually pretty top tier. They also have great lasagna, breadsticks, salads..and even quesadillas, lol. It's much better than your average American Pizza Hut, which for some reason seems to have gone downhill over the years. It is, however, a bit more costly. But you get what you pay for.
