I'm 23 and I cook. It was alot of trial and error since no one taught me. Eventually I just decided I wanted to learn and went from cooking hamburger helper to actually making things from scratch. But then again alot of people can't even handle hamburger helper

i can cook good shit but this is my lazy as fuck casserole

1 family size can of condensed cream of mushroom soup

half a bag of tater tots

1lb of ground beef

fresh sliced yellow onion and mushroom (however much you want, i use about a quarter of a large onion and about 6 medium size baby portobella)
half cup of cheddar cheese


Brown grown beef and season to taste
sautee the mushrooms and onions separately in butter
mix mushroom onion ground beef and the can of soup together,

add the cheese and mix until melted together

Put meat mixture in casserole dish and layer tater tots on top

place in preheated oven(whatever temp tots specify)
Once tots are done let cool and eat you fat fuck

yea canola works fine, it smokes around 400 as well. Dont overfill the pan either, you dont want oil pouring all over the burner. usually i wont go over the half way point of the pan. Id recommend having something around to put out an oil fire.

yes but you have to get it pretty damn hot around 600 degrees farenheit, but you will be creating a smoke show well before that. corn oil starts smoking around 400F. The fire hazard mostly comes from spilling oil onto the hot burner. basically try and have a pan that keeps your oil from ever coming in direct contact with the flame or your electric burner

i just use a large sauce pan and put it on my glasstop stove, using a meat thermometer to monitor oil temps, been able to hold around 350F pretty well for making fried chicken.

IT would probably be easier to get a fryer but it isnt impossible to fry things with a pot and a stove
