Yeah, have the pot heating with some oil (like a tablespoon for a cup of rice) and drain the rice as best you can.
Toast till the smell is more nutty and savory and then add your water/stock.
Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook covered 45 minutes. Take it off the heat and stand covered 10 minutes. Fluff and serve.
