>already have a box of pasta from my housemate who is out of town for the holidays
>go to corner market and buy some sauce and cheese
>come back
>pour a shitton of water into saucepan (almost to the brim) because I don't know what 2/3rds of a cooking pot is
>turn on stove
>wait like 20 minutes

>pour entire box of pasta in because I assume the water is boiling at this point
>add a spoonful of salt
>realize something
>I never even turned the burner on
>I stood there for 20 minutes thinking the water was heating up when I didn't even turn the fucking burner on

>water becomes hotter and pasta becomes less hard
>puts cover on once all the pasta is finally in and not sticking out
>water starts boiling
>tastes one of the noodles

>eat my bad food as the sauce and cheese merge and become a gross orangey color in the side of the plate
