I was doing some construction work and we noticed a loquat tree. Where I was they call it a nispero. Everyone stopped and one guy climbed on a nearby roof to throw us down bunches. Foreman wasn't even mad, we all stopped working and sat down and got our hand all sticky eating loquats for 30 minutes in the shade. Sometimes you run across an opportunity to good to pass up.

Oranges are my favorite citrus fruit, probably because lived in Florida my entire life and fresh oranges are so easily available and delicious. My favorite all around fruit would have to be strawberries.

Wild blackberries are awesome. Grow like weeds in public spaces and all you need is a stick to get past the thorns. They grow in such proliferation you get to be super picky and get only the very best. Eat your fill while picking, then go home and make jam and cobbler.
