So I just accepted a position as a chef at Wendy's. It's my first professional culinary experience, and I'm not sure what to expect. Does anybody who started their career in such a spot know what it's like?

You'll be overworked, underpaid, treated like garbage, and given current trends in technology, replaced as soon as they can cheaply build a machine to do your job.

I think you'll want to invest in a nip flask (keep it in your front pocket, where your apron can hid it better) of at least 6 ounces, but more than 10 will make it unwieldy. Stock it with whatever spirit you prefer (no liqueurs, the sugar will fuck with the cap), but remember that higher proof spirits will make that 6-10 ounce limit go that much further.

Overnight shifts were probably the best time to go in.

Eat some 3 hour edibles and smoke pot every few hours. Eating leftovers and sitting in the breakroom playing xbox til 6 in the morning with the supervisor. Usually just us or some newbie most nights.

Ended up putting on some weight though from all the food stealing.
