No, it's an honorable, unpretentious hot sauce with a nice funk. Less of a meme than Sriracha, Frank's, or crystal, which all blow.

It's not a "meme" sauce. It goes good on certain things. For instance, fish tacos? It's the only sauce I would use.
Of course, there are substitutes. Chohula, tapatio, and a few others are good substitutes.
It's essentially what sriracha is for asian hot sauces, to mexican hot sauces. Still, serves a purpose.
Personally, I think lots of "mainstream" hot sauces have their own place. Sriracha, tobasco, LHS, OP's pic, and several other mainstream grocery store sauces all serve a purpose when some better alternative isn't available.

Also, hating on Sriracha is a meme. It's a delicious sauce by anyone's measure, even if it's not hot enough for some autists.
