Where do you live? Maybe I can tell you where to find them. I don't know if I'd say a cherimoya is worth the $6 they usually cost, but I scored a large one on clearance the other day for $1 and the defects were only skin deep. Extremely sweet.

There's more than zero Asian supermarkets in your state. Don't know if any of them carry durian. You could always call, ask around, and visit any during other travels. You'd likely regret buying it because you're the kind of person to live in Kansas.
