Either just a ton of scrambled eggs (like ten), and dry toast in if I'm having a "kys" type of morning.
Otherwise, potatoes au gratin. Having a mandolin has saved my life, dude. You should give it a go sometime, they'd bomb af. Get some taters, slice the extra thin, bring some milk (amount depends on the size of your endgame pan/ the amount of cheese you use) to a slow boil and add about 3/4 of your cheese slowly and whisk (add whatever spices you like, I wouldn't reccomend anything spicy because comfort food. Tbh if your cheese is nice enough you really don't need any. Maybe just a little bit of pepper), while you make your cheess sauce, cook your taters on a parchment lined baking sheet at about 375 until they're crisply.
Make SURE to let them get a little crispy around the edges. Move them from your baking sheet into a casserole dish, and pour your cheese sauce on them.
Add the remaining 1/4 amount of cheese and put the casserole dish on broil but keep an eye on it so it doesn't get burnt.

Probably fried chicken, biscuits and mashed potatoes with gravy

That, or chicken with a quick cream based pan sauce with white wine and some other savory ingredient like mustard, roasted potatoes and green beans/peas with white house rolls

Chicken soup.

But I do it a bit differently. I put lots of potatoes some decent amount of chicken meat.

I like boil chicken meat. Tastes great. And I used the boil potatoes to make mash.

So in the end I have a huge bowl of mash, with a side of boiled chicken meat and chicken soup.

Yep, classic autism. You are literally the definition of austism in that you aren't able to grasp an abstract concept such as comfort food. You have a developmental disorder, my friend

You're like the guys on /v/ who get upset and tell people they're having "fake fun".
>and think you feel better,
That is the idea anon. Comfort food is what people eat when they've had a bad day. It mentally makes you feel better. No one has said anything about comfort food curing physical afflictions.

>> No.9515917

>>9515898
>Comfort food is what people eat when they've had a bad day.
i know. sometimes it probably works. sometimes it won't. people are extremely bad at self-reporting their fluctuations of mood and recognising the causes.

i know what the *intention* behind comfort food is, but i'm saying it isn't necessarily effective. sometimes it's a placebo, sometimes it's actually therapeutic, and sometimes it's straight up destructive.

>> No.9515929

>>9515886
>Just because you think you feel better doesn't mean you actually do feel better.
You've gone full retard. Do you also go around telling people who say they're having fun that they're not actually having fun? Do you not even understand the concept of how subjectivity is per person?

>> No.9515945

>>9515929
your subjective self-knowledge is not supreme, anon. sometimes you truly may think you feel better when actually you feel worse. sometimes you may think you feel worse when actually you feel better. it's unwise to infer that you have a positive relationship with a food just because you have a dependence upon it or some other reason to consume it during a period of emotional recovery.

>> No.9515959
