Not him, but he really isn't that great of a cook, his recipes aren't special, and he basically gets overwhelming praise (comments are 100% hugbox) so he's walled from criticism and improvement. His "humor" fell flat for me and his camera angles give you little of the pan, but instead his upper body and the footage he uses doesn't show much technique or prep work.

Honestly it's Chef John. Perfect blend of cooking skills and presentation.
He gets to the point, edits nicely and has a good sense of what's the skill level of his viewers.
The are better chefs who either don't know what is really conceivable in a normal kitchen or can't make videos for shit, and there are channels with better presentation and shitty cooking (yes I'm thinking Tasty).


Brothers Green are great for beginners, give very nice tips.
Babish can't give tips, it's just recipes.
