A recipe that results in good chili.

My turn: what is best in life?

depends on whether you want aryan white chili or normal chili my man.

>> No.9251627

Here's mine. Would love to use smoked meats instead of liquid smoke + chipotle powder + smoked paprika to get that smoky flavor I love, but haven't yet.

1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 onion
5 jalepeno
3 cloves garlic

1 28 oz can diced tom
2 14 oz can tom+green chile
3 tsp liquid smoke
1 can hot chipotle
2 cans red kidney beans

1.5 lbs ground
1.5 lbs steak
1/3 cup + 1.5 tbs cup chili powder
1 tsp garlic
3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1.5 tbs smoked paprika
2 tbs cumin
1 tbs salt
1.5 tsp pepper
1.5 tbs Chipotle chili powder

>> No.9251637

>>9251627
Couple notes
> brown the "steak", which is a loose term for simple chunks of meat. Ranges from short ribs to "stew meat" bought at store
> Cook onions and garlic in olive oil, then add ground meat, then add peppers
> I simmer the diced tomatoes for an hour on very low, then mash them instead of dealing with diced tomatoes, tomato puree, tomato sauce, etc.
> Spices can be added in waves. Some at beginning, some in middle, some near end, etc.
> Beans, if you want them, are added at end, allowed to just heat through

That you add browned meat, onions, garlic and oregano to and allow to simmer until tender.

I made chili once. My family loved it. And the habaneros were no joke

2 lb emeril's organic beef stock
12oz yuengling black and tan
38oz rotel tomato & green chili
15.5oz chili beans (red beans in chili sauce)
10oz sriracha tomatoes & red chili
7 gloves fresh garlic
***
2 heaping tbsp hershey unsweetened cocoa
pinch of cinnamon
>add these to your beef BEFORE LIQUIDS
***
3oz fresh basil chopped fine, you can add this at the very end
paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper to taste
2 onions
2 green peppers
2 habaneros
1 yellow pepper
1 red pepper
1 jalapeno

it was kind of a lot of peppers but it worked and was fucking delicious

and 4oz of amore tomato paste which was "double concentrated"

I didn't drain any of the juices from the canned stuff
