Hi /ck/. Next month I'm going to be spending a few days in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Never been to either of them before. What should I eat while I'm there? Give me your best food recommendations, please.
Picture unrelated, I don't eat cats.

Mexican food. Just fucking wander around until you found an (in)decent looking taquiera. It should take you about 20 seconds.

There's a place that I really like in SF called NOPA (http://nopasf.com/).). They have amazing porkchops and flatbread (and pretty much everything else). Not much in terms of atmosphere as it's a fairly cosy and loud restaurant; but you're there for food not for a quiet, romantic dinner. That place is usually packed on Fri/Sat and you usually can't get seated at a normal hour if you don't get a reservation about 1 month in advance. However, there's 2 ways to get seated without needing reservations: 1) go much later at night as they close at midnight sun-thurs and 1am Fri/Sat, or 2) go at 5pm when the bar opens and ask for a seat when the restaurant opens at 6pm (will usually have about 15 min wait).
