So basically im very poor for a little bit ( got a job interview tomorrow so here's hoping ) but until then i need to eat cheap preferably for 2, i grew up poor so i know a lot of normal cheap food but what are your guys recommendations for cheap foods/meals?

If you have a slow cooker, stews are your friend. Buying produce and dry goods instead of canned is also handy. I like to keep some kinds of vegetable scraps in the freezer to use as a vegetable stock (some work better than others, google that shit).

If you have a windowsill with good sunlight, some vegetables can be kept in water and grow at a decent rate. My own favorites are garlic (great for chives) and green onions.

For protein, eggs and chicken are aleays good and cheap. When you go to the grocer be sure to grab a flyer to see what is on sale.
