Most of the cinnamon in the USA is the cheap crap that has high amounts of that toxin in it. Only ceylon cinnamon has a super low amount of the toxin so that you can use it with impunity. Most people don't even know there's different types of cinnamon. When an American finally gets some ceylon cinnamon it is amazing to them. Literally pic related.

I just realized something. This stuff reminds me of my childhood. 50ish years ago my mom would get cinnamon sticks to make candies and such. Every time I smell and taste the ceylon cinnamon it slams me back in time to that era. Back then, most of the cinnamon in the US was ceylon cinnamon still.
