First of all Mcdonald's will probably not stop freezing beef as long as half its employees are mentally-challenged/druggies/teenagers.
Every job there is dumbed down to the lowest threshhold and idiots still fuckup everything.

Not that anon I work in a hotel kitchen but what he describes is accurate. The soap is a hard oval shaped block thats dumped into a dispenser that fucking beeps constantly at you when it's empty. It works by pumping hot water across the soap itself, mixing a solution and then coming out of a tube. Similar to a dish washing tab.

I worked at a Sonic. There's no dine in. There's 2 drive in lanes and 16 stalls. And 1 or 2 cooks on duty. So if it's busy like a dozen orders come in at the same time and they all have multiple items. So you're in a rush.

Once I sliced my hand open somehow and I didn't even notice it. I was bleeding all over the burgers and buns and veggie condiments. I guess I just assumed that it was ketchup. They would have killed me if I said anything and asked for some of the burgers back. They get furious when you make too man fries and they have to dump them out. So I said nothing.

This is the morning crew I deal with. Most have a 'can't be bothered attitude'.

Apart from me, the owner of the franchise and maybe less than a handful of employees, struggle to perform basic duties in accordance to standard procedure.

clearly posted, and ingredient lists must be readily available.

If a restaurant cooks meat, it is subject to thorough health and safety inspections. In my particular corner of the world this usually means quarterly random unsolicited visits from the municipal authorities and monthly inspections from in-house, which are usually more thorough.

Raw chunks of meat may sit for up to three days, there will be a butchery or processing plant within a day of the restaurant, and then the ground meat MIGHT be allowed 48h near freezing, usually 36.

Any cases of food poisoning put all health and safety authorities on high alert and constant patrol. Any items found spoiled will generally result in a firing or twelve. Any items found out of date will probably result in at least one firing.

HOWEVER, a fraudulent claim of an ingredient or quality in a food, with enough of a stink raised over it, can result in restructuring, restaurant/regional closings, and god knows what other chaos.

It goes in the fucking fridge... ideally to be ground on premises.
