Baby carrots are discarded real carrots that are too gross to sell as a whole carrot, so the good bits get shaved down and sold at a premium.

Hahaha, just for those not in the know, "disgusting" is an old, inside term used in the food biz derived from "dis good thing". "Pink goo" is another slang term for the particular breed of chicken McDonalds uses in its chicken sandwich production; a chicken bred specifically for chicken sandwich production.

Everyone should know this. It's also for over stock. Same thing for the meat that is a few dollars off (though you'd have to be dense to not know that)

If you go to a hot deli in a grocery store and see a daily special that always seems to change, that's using all the expires that day food from the produce, meat, dairy, bakery area.

If there are pre-made sandwiches made in store, and there is a "on shelf" section and an order area, the sandwiches already on the shelf are a few days old. The soups and pasta salads that you buy from anywhere are not fresh every day, they cool that leftover shit down and use it again later in the week

All the "icky" bits of animals go into sausages and salamis.

Cheese is rotting milk

Get over the fact that society is learning how to create less waste. Something that counts as a "too gross" carrot in non-organic non-heirloom standards would include such as pic included

here's a completely neutral opinion that everyone can agree with with, perhaps with some sharp witticism attached, maybe even with an ellipsis for comedic effect, now give me those epic upvotes please

my good sirs should also consider replying to this post with an equally witty retort, perhaps we can start a reply chain where we try to one-up eachother's jokes, yes quite
