I stopped consuming McChickens because I don't like how much the sandwich has devolved over recent years. Back in the day, I could have sworn that shit had 20g+ or more of protein.

Fast forward to today and it's only 14g. And here is the kicker: FIVE of those mother fucking fourteen grams are from the BUN. Think about that. The patty somehow is only able to hold 9 grams of protein. That is literally 1 ounce of actual meat, tops.

1 ounce of chicken breast is 6.5 grams of protein.

That patty is probably about 2 to 2.5 ounces which would lead a mathematically inclined person to believe that it is about 25 to 30% filler.

I don't think this has changed since the introduction of the sandwich at all.

This is slightly better than your average hot dog in terms of protein to weight... most generic hotdogs being about 2 ounces and 6 grams of protein.
