I work in a restaurant and use a knife which has an iron cladding. Maintenance for iron involves rubbing oil (some kind of food safe fat) into it periodically. I use lard. Microscopic bits of pork fat get into every single piece of food served in our restaurant, including dishes which are kosher, vegetarian or vegan.

Honestly, I think it's cheating if you buy a vegetarian, vegan or kosher dish at place with isn't exclusively vegeblah blah. You're still supporting a meat eater/goy and the meat/goy industry. Unless you're vegan or vegetarian for health reasons, in which case you probably wouldn't care about microscopic pork particles.
