Yeah man, Loblaw's in Canada used to have these bulk real-fruit gummy bears that were all like that. Just a firm, chewy texture, like more elastic fruit leather.

They're Japanese Cheesecakes. There are several different well known stores in Japan that make them, they're also found in Taiwan (my OP webm is from Taipei, Taiwan nightmarket) and places.
