Meh, Ive gleaned some good information from his show, but 90% of it is eclectic shit that absolutely nobody will ever repeat. I want real information, not some gay ass technique showing how to wastefully grill something that doesn't belong on the grill. Or spend $100 or more on stupid ingredients that are rare and hard to find. His recipes are almost exclusively very expensive and wasteful.

I just stumbled onto Nigella Lawson's show and sat through all four hours in about two days. Lot's of family/friend segments that I usually just scrub through, but the actual cooking is pretty good and her segments going over her favorite cook books is great.

She's also hot as fuck and a huge bonus is she's not in the least bit as grating as fuckin' Giada.

He has the physique of a post-gastric-bypass patient, which makes him a bit weird chinned rolypoly middled. His voice is new england jewish by way of south florida. I grew up hearing that all around me, those ex-Newyorkers who had family in Boca, so it doesn't irk me at all. It's a common thing. No sense of fashion, just of covering up the past rolls of fat, and stuck in the 80s further with the tiny "classic frame" prescription sunglasses. Yea, he could use a good fashion and PR consultant to bring himself into the new millennium but he's truly the best BBQ trainer out there and has been for his _entire_ life. The way of life of Miami (and S. Florida where he lives in the Grove), is to hit that grill nearly daily. It's why most of us are propane grillers, because we're charring veggies out there with her fresh seafood, or doing one version of some south american or caribbean menu item, probably 4x/week because of our outdoor living lifestyles down here. Being close to Floribbean Cuisine (trademark N VanAken) is ultimate fusion training too. I love his menus, cause it's how we eat.

I love Pati's food, but yea, wth is going on with the voice. It's nasally most of all, and might even have a speech impediment. She's only 2nd generation mexican (eastern european jewish), and then in teenage years moved to Texas to pick up their weird southern dialect. Then, she likely tried to drop it all when living in Washington DC.

No clue, but I like that she mostly shows family menus that are utterly not mainstream things I've seen before much elsewhere. None of that kicked up a notch nonsense overdone garnishes either, just comfort foods her family has moods to eat.
