Finally tried one a week ago and I couldn't even finish it. They're literally the worst tasting poptarts I've ever tasted, and that's saying something considering how many are already shit.

I don't even know why I still have them. When I go back home I'm going to take them all to the dumpster and literally just dump them out.

But I don't like wasting food so I probably won't do that, but believe me, it's exactly what they deserve.

Toaster Strudels came in and just fucked pop-tarts shit all up. They were so much better in everyway and I and everyone else who even bought Pop-tarts stopped buying them completely

Then they kept making them worse and worse. They changed the icing so it was worse and then they shrunk the icing packs.They changed the filling inside of them so they usually ended up still cold unless you burned them.

Now they're on par with pop-tarts once again and pop-tarts are significantly cheaper and are basically a good buy once again because of how shit toaster strudels

The problem is, poptarts are like an X ways recipe, they are are made from just a few bases because every flavor must have the same amount of filling, calories, and cost. They won't deviate and thus are not capable of innovating in flavors

That's IT. That's why it tastes like orange floor wax. It's not an orange flavor, artificial or otherwise, it's just orange bitter oil. That explains why the flavor is so overwhelmingly offensive to the nose and the mouth.

No, it's literally like arguing shortbread vs strudel. Strudel is good, yes, but toaster strudel is really shitty strudel, whereas poptarts use a relatively good, if dry, shortbread. Relatively speaking, therefore, poptarts are better. And at least they're their own thing, rather than a poor man's danish. Just go tomost grocery stores' baked goods sections and you can get better strudel/danishes anyhow.

I was only listing flavors off the top of my head. There are plenty of others if I actually sit down to think of them (wild cherry=good, penut butter and jelly = meh, haloween brownie = shit), but I've actually never had pb&chocolate, because the Penutbutter line of poptarts only end up on value racks where I live for whatever reason, so its impossible to find the rarer ones. Given the favoritism towards them ITT I'll keep an eye out for them, though.

ONLY with strawberry. It emphasises the texture of the shortbread, which I'm pretty sure is actually slightly sweeter in the unfrosted varrieties, and works really well with the jam. The frosting wouldn't really do much other than obscuring the flavor and giving it that dull dried-semen crunch we've all come to know and love, but detracts from this paticular varriety.
