Real espresso actually takes an espresso machine to make because it requires lots and lots and lots of pressure to push the hot water through the tamped grounds. Moka pot makes coffee via a reverse process that's not quite as volatile and makes "espresso" that's weaker and more of a simulation of the real thing. There's the problem then. You tried Brands and Methods. It's all about the beans anon - origin and roast. Farm to cup. Specialty coffee. By brands I would assume that the beans are dark roast - of course it would be bitter. Dark roast coffee burns away tehe flavor profile of the beans and the flavor profile of the roast takes prominence- burnt, charcoal. Brewing methods won't matter also if you got dark roasted beans.

I like a small amount of cream, because they put 5 grams of sugar. The sugar is acidic and that helps lower the high pH that coffee has (although when sugar is metabolized with caffeine in the coffee it makes the effects of the caffeine quicker and less sharp). Also the cream makes it taste way better than normal bean water.
