Why is this shit allowed? Is there some EU law requiring it? They're usually not consistent with an actual serving.

an actual serving? explain

>> No.8078982

sorry, do you need it in measures of mouthfuls? or in an average glut? should they go ahead and figure in the average swamp of butter, salt, mayo, and ketchup?

You already have the nutritional value per 100 grams. Why do they provide an arbitrary serving size that usually isn't what a normal person would eat?

maybe you are the abnormal one

>I'm so fucking retarded I cant measure anything I eat if im watching my calories wahh government please regulate the industry more

hang yourself

Retards don't measure their food by weight to know how much they're eating; this was a compromise between informing a consumer of the nutritional value of their food, while companies also get to put a "low calorie number" on the packaging to further trick misinformed consumers.

If that's a Cup-A-Soup or hot chocolate, then "1 cup serving" would be accurate.

However if you're a moron who doesn't even bother to check what the actual measure of "1 serving" is, that's your problem.

I've never seen an example of that happening.

Bullseye m8, people don't read the small text at the bottom that insists that a can of 400g of beans is two servings of 200g; hence get tricked into consuming more calories than expected.

But I have no pity for them.

>> No.8079575

>>8079535

That literally never happens.

They pretty much all say right on the front "140 calories per can"

>> No.8079584

Friendly reminder:

(calories of serving recommended serving/weight of recommended serving) * weight of actual serving = number of calories

ex: 100g of raw broccoli is 34 calories, but you're going to eat 136g

34/100=.34
.34*136= 46.24 calories

No excuses OP, just weigh your stuff
