I'm mid forties, live in an urban center in Ontario outside Toronto. A local burger joint has a daily deal, $9.99 for a pint of beer, a good burger, and medium fries. That's in Canadian dollar. Great deal, and ordering everything separately would cost $5 more.
This place uses not-frozen local beef, not organic but hormone- and anitibiotic-free, fries are cut and fried onsite from fresh local potatoes.
It's my favourite place.

I had the house burger, which comes with fried onions, hickory smoked bacon, cheddar, garlic sauce, and a soft-cooked egg on a buttered and toasted bun, with the meat cooked medium rare. I had a side of fried onion strings.

It was all pretty delicious. The onion strings are really thin, so they got a bit cold but that's because I eat slow. I had a Brandy Old-Fashioned before my meal, of course, and it was very nice. 8.5/10

With processing techniques today, there's no reason a burger should be this mediocre and not be jamals thigh, fried in a Texas penitentiary mid July and shoveled in my mouth a couple beers deep a month later.

A soul food place I always wanted to try, yet something always held me back; in hindsight I should've listened to my gut feelings. I didn't expect authentic stuff, but the neighborhood is well-known for good albeit overpriced eating. Anyway... Gf had "caribbean curry" which was tasteless and lukewarm, I had jerk drumsticks with grilled corn on the cob, sweet potato chips and the house special bbq sauce. Chips were soggy, the sauce was very obviously store bought, the corn somehow completely tasteless - the drumsticks were meh. All this for a lot more dosh than would've been reasonable. 4/10, steer clear.

Really really amazing small hipster pizza joint that serves Neopolitan style pies with shit like arugula, capers, prosciutto, capricola, etc.
They give out free olives/peppers as an appetizer.
The oven is at like 1000 degrees so it comes out super quick.
It's only open 5 hours a day, so you have to fight for a parking space no matter what time.

Pic is Margherita pizza. They also do vegan/vegetarian.
Basically the best pizza I've ever had (no I haven't been to NY/Italy but this is the best I got)

> Nameless restaurant on Fahuasi Rd, next to Xisuanhuan Beilu

I go there at least once a week. Its just next to my university and they have great shui jiaozi. There are six tables, usually full with physical workers in military-like shirts and hats. You can eat great food for around 5¥. In china it's often cheaper to it out, in a restaurant, then to cook by yourself.

Was alright. Could've been a lot better but i guess that's what happens when you don't invest enough cash in your sushi.

The place is nothing fancy - just the usual italian trattoria - but the food is good and reasonably priced so I keep returning.

What healthy eating options do you have in China? All we get hear of Chinese street food is heavy soup, noodles and dumplings.

>Some chic restaurant in Adams Morgan. Shit blew fucking co/c/k/. We went there for brunch, so the place was relatively busy. All we ordered was a quiche, a breakfast sandwich, and an egg taco. It took HALF AN HOUR to serve us. Food was good, I guess. But in no way was it worth the wait. There was a table across from us, where 6 women were seated. They were all quite attractive. By the time we finished eating, they were still seated. I walked by them on the way out.

Sorry anon, but you got cheated. that dish should have been served without basil, since basil it's not used for fish, you use parsley. That dish looks overcooked and overwhelmed with green things to make it look good, to make it up for the bad taste.

Went to a Vietnamese restaurant called Co Ha.

Had the rice noodles with beef (bun bo nam bo)

It was decent food, I just disliked that the beef had a pretty strong taste of soy sauce to it. It was nicely pan seared, though. Overall, I prefer my local go-to Vietnamese place over that place. The lady there just blanches the meat strips and includes more fresh herbs.
