I haven't tried buffalo mozzarella, but I've hated everything buffalo I've tried. As best I can tell, everything with Buffalo in the title is just drenched in an overpowering vinegar-based hot sauce. Buffalo pizza(maybe that has buffalo mozzarella? Idk) to buffalo fries to buffalo wings. It's all shit.

Depends on how closely related the animals are. Goat and sheep cheese taste similar, but not the same. Same thing with cow and buffalo. They produce the same general type of cheese, but it tastes a little different because it's from a different animal.
