It depends.

In a large urban area, you'll have the poorest, worst people in fast food. Every metropolitan fast food joint is filled with minorities and they are genuinely terrible, rude and incompetent. The airports are the worst. If they didn't have horrible social skills, or low IQ they have hundreds of other opportunities because they live in a large city. But they don't, so they slink by getting fired at airport McDonalds because they're slightly above the rest of the unemployed trash out there.

In my experience, it's generally quiet, autistic black men working with large, loud, ghostbusters black female lead individuals that no one would hire to interact with anyone. Or they have bad english skills, lots of Haitians - feel bad for them

Local popeyes is staffed almost exclusively by black people and I don't have any complaints with the service. I noticed that they're mostly middle aged.

I eat at A&W once a month at least since its the best fast food place, and I've been in 5 stores and its only white people and filipenos working there. The employees generally seem happy too, which is nice.

I work in Chipotle right now, they really shove their "team effort" culture in your face. Like everyone has to memorize a bunch of definitions, the mission vision, and everyone works together and is super friendly/helpful to each other.

The managers at the one I work at weed out the ones that don't perform well and either force them to work better or fire them.

Also chick fil A is great.
