Hey, /ck/, I'm having my boss over this weekend for dinner, and I want to cook something nice for him, without trying to be too pretentious about it.
He doesn't have any food allergies, and is okay with most kinds of meat. I really don't think he's too picky, but I'd like to do something nice. I've got a decent budget to work with here.
Maybe something kind of light though? We might do some stuff afterwards, and it's hard to be active on a full stomach.

All suggestions welcome, including drinks/desserts to go with.

I'm starting to wonder if i shouldn't just make us some really nice, thin-crust pizza. It's not really a romantic food, but there's a big variety of peppers on sale, and who can resist peppers?
