Saw this article on wikipedia yesterday. Kind of pasta made from grilling a batter dry, then cutting it up and boiling it. In case of this pic, served with pesto. Goes back to the ancient Etruscans.

Thought it looked very interesting and hope to try it some day.

Ever find an article/pic from wikipedia you've never heard of before or thought was interesting? Post it here.

What does it taste like

i had that at a wedding in genoa last summer. it was pretty great. the menu followed a really strange format, it started with this amazing buffet with assorted fritti being brought to the table, gorgeous hams, mozzarella stuffed with aubergine, enormous white pizzas saturated with cream, grilled skewers of chicken and prawns, octopus salad with pesto, all kinds of delicious shit and loads of booze. then we moved inside and had what's in the OP followed by some kind of melon parfait which was way too sweet to make for a good palate cleanser and then some incredibly moist steamed fish with a baked soufflé and some turned carrots. and that was it.
