What are some good hot sauces, that have the right balance between heat and flavor?

Just ordered a bottle of this stuff over the weekend. Never tried it so I hope it's worth it.

The shipping on a single bottle will kill you, and the new bottle design is kinda stupid, but it's still one of the best hot sauces out there.

Anon, that's subjective ;^)

I like this sauce. I bought it on impulse and enjoyed it enough that I'll buy another bottle when it's used up.

This is going to be highly subjective.

Marie Sharp's, Tabasco, Chef Joseph's Chicago Style Kick Sauce are all in my favorites. Jalapeno based sauces can also be really good, but I prefer red pepper and habanero based sauces and just have jalapeno peppers.

This doesn't count as a hot sauce really, but Lingham's chile sauce is one of the best sauces for pork.

Valentina is one of my favorite Mexican-style hot sauces. As close to the kind you get at taco trucks and stands as you can buy. Not very hot at all, but full of flavor.

i used to use franks, but it is very vinegary and hot vinegar is super corrosive in the mouth.

simmering some chili pepper in water with a dash of cayenne pepper is what I do now for sauce.

I really like the flavor of Cholula. It may not be all that hot, but I enjoy the taste. My only problem is that on the larger bottles, the wooden caps mean it won't fit in my cabinets.
