Confirmation bias is a facet of cognitive science discussing the likelihood of errors based on observing and interpreting patterns based on preconceptions.

You're trying to spout off nonsense about 4chan being an American site, thus attracting anti-American sentiment, when in reality it's a global obsessiveness with the US that pervades every media outlet, every internet discussion board, and every word from your mouths when you interact with Americans. It's something you pick up if you haven't really had anything else to eat that day.

890 calories is sadly typical of any meal you order out, so you end up basing your meals at home around lighter things, and have a heavier meal earlier.

My typical routine is to nab some coffee on the way to work, for lunch get something fast (what you think anyone eats at panara by choice? No you eat there because it's the only place you can get food at in a hurry, because you have no choice near work in your 15m break), then have something light for dinner.

Have you been to any other board on 4chan? Or the internet? Reddit? Hate. Imgur? Hate. 4chan? Hate. It's not proportional, it's clearly a European obsessiveness derived from a superiority complex that has been prevalent since the moment "we" split from your ideals to form our own.

Your nations side with us when it benefits you, and deride us when it doesn't. You criticize us for the same actions you yourselves were guilty of centuries ago (except we haven't been nearly as successful at wiping indigenous people out. Crusades, East Indian Trading Company anyone?), you criticize how fat we are, when in reality most of you aren't far behind, we just got shafted by corporations earlier because we were more rapid in our technological and economic growth, you mock our food, our religious extremists (which Europe has none of), our government. Sure our government is shit, it's also governing a nation exponentially larger than any of yours. Your managing a patch of apple trees, we're managing three groves, but you point and laugh when one of our trees doesn't grow as many apples or dies.

The pattern is there. The obsession is there. You don't want it to be, because it proves you're the neurotic one. Unfortunately, you're just as ignorant as the rest of your friends. You watch tv and graham norton tells you who to hate, so you do. Well done.

This varies by region and socioeconomic class. If you live in a wealthy place you won't see too many fatties. Being fat is a poor people thing. The rich tend to avoid the kind of crap that makes the poor fat, and the middle class walk a tightrope between trying to eat "healthy" and enjoying trashy food. A place like Panera plays off middle class anxiety perfectly, by offering many items that seem like rich people food, but still having trashy shit like cheese soup in a bread bowl on the menu, because they know a "hungry person" (code for soon to be fatty) will order it.

>> No.6990401

I don't understand the hate in this thread. Everyone should live bread bowls, they're convenient and delicious.

What do you guys think about French onion bread bowls? A revolution for dishwashers everywhere or would they get too crispy?

Uh uh.
>America has shitty healthcare.
America has "shitty" healthcare because it's micromanaging ten-fold what your countries are, in every direction. It's been TOO successful as a nation. So successful that it cannot support its own growth and unprecedented prosperity. It's the natural ebb and flow of civilization. Again, if you knew history, you'd know your own shitty little corner of the Earth probably once stood in the spotlight. Now,you're outside looking in, which is called... Obsessiveness.

It's not the dickeshness that's the problem, it's the blatant repetitive obsession that permeates every pore of your European blood. It's also the profound hypocrisy displayed by calling a nation Fat when your own nation is becoming increasingly fatter and has almost caught up to the nation you're mocking. And when you're not intelligent enough to defend your assholishness, don't be surprised when someone comes along and makes a fool of you for it.

Thing is, American patriotism in its blaring consumerist way is actually pretty offensive to anyone who serves the US. People don't attach any fucking meaning to it, they are literally void of what "love for your country" and "love for the people serving your country" means.

Funny how you cherry pick your arguments. When Americans show pride, it's rampant and commercial. When Brits worship their queen, provide a steady, ridiculous income for her, have enormous ceremonies for her, and make a huge goddamn deal about every breath she draws, it's actually subtle distaste and scorn. Yeah, got it.

When your economy is based around pretty much constant war this constant subtext has to be maintained. It even crosses over into food. If you turn your nose up at the kind of commodity grade shit we feed our military (which is the same crap we feed prison inmates, schoolchildren and dispense from chain restaurants) you're being pretentious and unAmerican.

You have to eat the garbage to be a good citizen.

The combination of Vietnam and Nixon. Commander In Chief goes down in disgrace after we lost a very unpopular war that included a draft. The vets came home after seeing (and often taking part in) horrible shit only to be treated like pariahs. At that point anyone with half a brain and other options available to them became unlikely to consider a career in the military.

Interestingly it was Nixon who also fucked up food in America, by centering our agricultural policy entirely around growing corn. In a very real way you could pin today's obesity epidemic on him as well.
