Could be that too. Usually my caramel is more translucent when it's spread as thin as it is on that measuring cup. Could be a weird lighting or camera thing, or maybe there's something else in there that I don't typically use.
What say you, OP?

Want to make a spinach pie tonight. Spinach, red onion, garlic, ricotta, feta, and not sure what to do for the crust. I want something reasonably healthy but also want to eat delicious pie crust so fuck it. Either gonna use regular pie or puff pastry.
