Do you think it would be appropriate to include a section on kitchen hazards and the danger of food poisoning (salmonella, e-coli etc.) in the /ck/ sticky?

Fuck you stickyfags, it's never going to happen, /ck/ can't even handle a sticky. Although, if we did have a sticky I would want a section on how to stop idiots from you from making these idiotic threads.

Nope. That information already exists and is easily found online. Why re-invent the wheel in an inferior format?

maybe, but the other boards have a sticky

What does that have to do with the fact that re-inventing the wheel is stupid?

>> No.6932126

It's a good idea. I think we should also have a sticky for those who have celiac disorder, just a list of what ingredients must be avoided and possible substitutions.

>> No.6932127

/ck/ doesn't need a sticky

And other boards don't. What is your point? If you lurk more like everyone tells you to. You would be blessed with the information.

>>6932126

Why? Wouldn't their doctor have already given them that information when they were diagnosed?

Yeah that sounds good.
Maybe something for gluten intolerance and msg allergies too.
msg seriously messes me up, especially if I eat chinese food.

Really?

Why do you make these threads without linking to the wiki?

http://4chan-ck.wikia.com/wiki/The_/ck/_Wiki

I'd like to see as much verifiable info up there as possible, and any introduction to cooking should start with safety, especially regarding bacterial contamination, fire and knife safety.

Can you embed videos in the wiki? There's a pretty good kitchen safety video on YouTube somewhere but I can't find it. It's cheesy and silly but informative. Some guy invites his buddies over for dinner and they go over there to make sure he doesn't hurt himself while cooking because he's so clumsy. Anyone know the vid I mean?

A section on allergies and intolerances would be good. If I meet someone who has dietary restrictions it would be good to have a convenient resource dealing with which foods/ingredients I should avoid serving them, what might happen if I DO serve them those foods, and maybe some good alternatives.
