His gastropubs sell frozen dishes (made from his kitchen somewhere close) mainly because there is not kitchen there but it's an example why frozen isn't always bad.

Plenty of stuff is totally fine frozen, as long as you're thawing it properly. Seafood is generally awful after freezing though.

Anyway, these places call in Gordon because they're run by absolute morons who can't understand why the business is going under, he comes in, changes a few things, does a relaunch with advertising, and then leaves on a high note. Most places featured fall back into their old habits within a few weeks and close a month or two later.

Of course it does. But that wouldn't make for a good reality TV show. The show is largely scripted. And as for what's not scripted they focus on things for dramatic effect. So suppose Ramsay goes there and 95% of the produce is fine, but there's some rotten stuff. Guess what the program is going to focus on?
