Yes, upside down in a cone to make it easy, so I don't have to hold it when it starts thrashing around when it dies. Also keeps their neck in place, making it easier to make the cut.
why the dull knife though? That makes it harder and longer for the distressed animal.
Why is this a hard question, if you can't deal with killing your meat, then don't eat it. The chicken in store is the same as 'Betsy'.
