I wanna make apple cider, ive made some great mead before but all these apples getting me inspired. This park has so many apples everywhere, could I just pick the guys up from off the ground, press and pasteruize, or would there be bad flavors in there if they got brown spots?

These are just some apple trees that grow in the park here. They were planted here decades ago, no one mantains them.

I'd need a twelve foot ladder for the ones on the tree but the ones down here are tasty, just bruised and maybe a bit buggy or rotting, but obviously pasteruize ing juice will solve most of that

I'm not a homebrewman, but I'd say if you boil the apples they should be fine. Obviously only use what your yourself would deem appetizing; a brown bit or two is likely fine, but one smashed into the dirt with an ecosystem inside is not.

Only 25 acres are actually pesticide free, bro. The other 4000 are covered in pesticides. And the 25 acres that are claimed to be pesticide free aren't actually pesticide free, not since 2010. Parks and Rec met with too much resistance in actually imposing pesticide free parks because the sheer amount of complaints they received almost immediately. When people go to a park they want a degree of control, not some wild wooded area over run with bugs.

In primary is a russian river row2 hill56 clone, dry hopped today
