What did old Rolling Rock used to taste like? How does it compare to the ones brewed today?

Thoughts on Rolling Rock?

I miss the old AVGN. Why is Bootsy doing video game tutorials now? James is such a chill guy in some of his videos but I wish AVGN would either die or he grew a spine and went back to what worked. It's horribly unfunny.

I don't want him wasting good material with this new production style of his. His fans are raving lunatics who leave hundreds of comments and have a blind loyalty to him. He'd rather feed them rather than the ones who had appreciation for his talent.

Honestly, I predicted with his newborn and the time he took to make the AVGN movie he would start winding down.

I think everyone did. The AVGN movie was definitive in showing that he was hell set on doing the show this way despite everything else.

It's still enjoyable sometimes, but not nearly as much as it used to be. H

The guy's not really a fan of Rolling Rock anyways, from what I've seen. He said that the reason he drank it in the first episode was that it happened to be in his fridge when he filmed it. He really was drunk, though. He'll fill the bottle with water for later episodes. I'm not sure how often he actually drinks the stuff.

He drank one at a convention when someone gave him it, but so would anyone. Probably has the same feelings on Rolling Rock as most of us do. Nobody truly likes Rolling Rock.

Worst beer I've ever had the misfortune of tasting.

>> No.6727155

It's a lovely beer for a nice hot summer day when you're mowing the grass -- every single person who says it tastes good.

When I drink it, it tastes like Perrier water: the beer. I don't get what's so offensive about it because I don't think there's anything to really taste. It's plain as hell.

What do you mean it doesn't taste like anything? It's pretty mild, almost flat tasting, but it also has a little bitterness to it.

From what I hear, the old Rolling Rock brewing facility had shit kettles which gave it a unique taste to it.

Here's why no one should respect major breweries:

>Buys respected beer
>Changes brewing location
>Claims to use the same recipe
>Doesn't make an effort in giving it it's original taste

It's their fault for selling to Anheuser-Busch, but the the least they could do is not make it shitty.

>> No.6727209

I haven't had a Rolling Rock since I was 23 years old, back in 1994. At that age, it didn't matter what it tasted like. We were college kids trying to get drunk.

Cheap American lagers ARE great on a hot summer day. Also Rolling Rock tastes like cheap American lager, not like water. If it was water I sure as hell would be drinking it more often when I want a quick drunk.

>Perrier water: the beer.

If this means over-carbonated like 7Up, then yeah. That's how I remember it. It had the kind of sharper front of the tongue flavor of a soda pop too. And in the green bottles if it got light-struck it became the skunkiest beer this side of Moosehead.

What makes these beers good on a hot day? I honestly don't get it

>>6728353
I couldn't put that into words until now. There is definitely that soda feel to it.

All these cheap American lagers taste about the same to me anyways.

/ck/ confirmed for normie board. It's one of the few places on 4chan where you can mention a wife or girlfriend without everyone immediately asking you to prove that you aren't a single perma virgin.

Dehydrating beer is shitty on an awful day. I don't get why people consider it refreshing to drink that without having a glass or a bottle of water with them.

Can't even watch it after a bit. What's with this new thing? He pauses and then is all "Yeah, I know, let's get it out of the way" with every new joke he makes. It's so forced. It's not passive at all, it's right in your face.

He seems like he might off himself one day or realize that his career is going down so maybe things will change. It's the cold hard truth.

It's just one of those things that just hits the spot. I don't know if it has to do with the fact I work skilled labor, but after a long day in the sun I either want a shitty light beer or carbonated water.

King of cheap beer. A slightly bitter but pleasant taste.
