I need an advice on what kind of food to buy for a one day journey on a train tomorrow I'll spend 14 hr on a train and as usual I don't know what kind of food to buy from the grocery store I always end up with a bag of chips and a coke and starving to death ......any suggestion ?

Can't you buy some pre-made sandwiches from a deli or subway or something?
Maybe keep some hot soup in a thermos?
