I know a woman who makes weed butter like monthly or something using a slow cooker she puts in her garage when in use. you'll really want a slow cooker or to do it SLOWLY on the stove to get maximum fat-soluble thc into the fat medium of your choice.

It depends on the potency of your weed. I've made swag weed brownies in a dorm basement and *to me and some of my friends it smelled kinda like peanut butter when added to the canola oil. But yeah the brownies deffo smelled like weed now that I'm thinking about it in hindsight.

So yes it will smell like whatever weed you use.

You can also make and alcohol infusion if you're into getting twisted or whatever. If you went that route I think you could even evaporate the alcohol when its infused with weed to make an uber potent tincture.

It's actually quite difficult to make. THC is soluble in alcohol but it reaaaallly doesn't like mixing with water. I tried several times to make an infusion using vodka and the results were poor at best. You need something very potent like 181-proof rum or everclear. I've since done it with both everclear (roughly 96% ABV) as well as laboratory grade pure ethanol (100% ABV) and the latter works far better than the everclear does. Even that miniscule 4% water in the everclear makes an obvious reduction in potency.

Get the strongest alcohol you can for making your infusion. Then dilute it down for consumption.

Yes with the coconut oil. It has a better extraction ratio or something.

I steeped mine with coconut oil and water in a slow-cooker for four hours. The house absolutely reeked of weed for a full day. The crockpot needed to be washed several times to eliminate the smell. It's is a stinky nightmare, but totally worth it.
