It's easier to eat Asian food with a spoon, fork, and knife instead of chopsticks.

It's easier to eat south Asian and Indian food with a spoon instead of hands.

But it is not easier to eat Western food with chopsticks or hand.

So... you're mad about not being able to use chopsticks?

I'm 'murrican and, like most anons here, grew up eating at Japanese, Chinese, & Korean restaurants. Most anons who actually like food know how to use chopsticks, and appreciate the fact that they're fucking awesome with certain foods (like the ones that come cut up into bite size pieces, and being able to take a bite of exactly what you want is more important than shoveling food into your face hole).

As a linguist, it's interesting that you bring up language in terms of relative difficulty.
Languages aren't rated by difficulty-to-learn in absolute terms. They're rated by difficulty relative to the learner's native tongue/s IE how similar the new language is to the native language.
Someone who grows up speaking English is kind of screwed when it comes to picking up a new language without instruction because English is generally unlike any other language being a bastard tongue altogether. Of all national languages, it's most similar to Dutch. However, a native English-speaker wouldn't be able to pick up a Dutch newspaper or read a Dutch wikipedia article or a Dutch recipe book, for example, and be able to make out what it says, even an educated one.

Someone who grew up speaking Italian, however, can read Spanish and Portuguese with little-to-no trouble, and an educated Italian-speaker can do the same with French, Catalan and Romanian, as well, without any training or instruction and though being unable to speak any of them.
