It is meh, absolutely, but American McDonald's and its ilk are absolute shit, so compared to the pleb chain junk food many Americans grew up with, Five Guys is a decent improvement.

Five Guys kind of occupies its own niche; it's not "fast casual" because there's no sitting down to order, but they make your burgers to order so it's a bit slower than "fast food", only by a few minutes though.

In any case, your Five Guys is identical to ours.

imo one of the best burgers in london is at the sebright arms in bethnal green. ridiculously fast service and pretty hot barmaids too.

we order patty and bun and dirty burger a lot. i actually prefer dirty burger and it's priced at around a fiver, but my friends all prefer patty and bun, which has bigger patties and overall looks a bit posher. i just find the burgers don't have enough of a char to compete with the condiments flavour wise.

There's no accounting for taste. In & Out is delicious.

>you saps have just fallen for the advertising
Or maybe we've grown up on this food all our lives and it's you who haven't who were simply let down by the "hype." In this way, I posit that it's you who fell for the advertising. The world is full of contrarians who can't wait to shit on the established favorites of people they consider beneath them ("cali snakes"). That's why I'm never disappointed when anyone like you claims not to enjoy something of quality and value that we've enjoyed forever. It's not for you, you don't get it, I don't care, but you'll tell everyone about how you hate it anyways (probably at every opportunity).

Well, it's actual fast food at a fast food price and speed without skimping on ingredient quality. This is the essence of the "experience."
