So I've made too much chili and I can't eat it all in 3 days. I'm also too drunk to wrap it up in individual portions and freeze it right now. Is it safe to freeze food one day after you've cooked it?

Why not just leave it in your fridge overnight?

I'm in that cosy drunken state where all I wanna do is lay back, shitpost, and listen to music, and I can't be fucked to do anything else.

Being drunk doesn't even impair your spelling or grammar that much. al het pepels whu do ti arse jst plying it up

It's already in the fridge, but I had a 4lb hunk of beef which I used to make some curry, and I'm also leaving some of it in brine for a roast tomorrow . I can't eat 4lb in 3 days, no matter how much I want to.

I've never got this. I spent nearly 2 years drunk to blackout at least 3 days per week, and while I did a lot of ranting and or gibberish posting online, my grammar never suffered, nor did my punctuation. It was more my train of thought that took an addled tangential turn.

The assumption that most people's grammar will change when drunk, or that they'll have inadequate mental checks for syntax / punctuation, just doesn't hold up. I outgrew that when I was 16 or so and realized being drunk wasn't an excuse or reason to do things incorrectly.

I've noticed the same here. although I dislike alcohol, the few times I've been very drunk I've been able to type more or less normally

drugs that really change typing style for me:

high doses of psychedelics (can't make sense of the keyboards)

amphetamines, amphetamine derivatives, other stimulants in high doses (extremely intense hypergraphia, and typing so fast that punctuation suffers)

opiates (feeling so good that I just can't be bothered with punctuation or grammar sometimes)

You do realize that 95% of soups, stews, chilli, sauces etc you eat in the average restaurant is more than 24 hrs old don't you?

Not the gravy though. That is so cheap and easy to make from boxed powder that they just boil up a new batch every morning in time for lunch service.

Put it in a tupperware and place in your refridgerator, that stuff should last in a cold environment like that for a week or two, and yeah you can freeze it after the fact, just don't let it sit out at room temperature where it could go bad.

I don't eat at restaurants because I can usually cook tastier versions of the dishes they serve in the comfort of my own home.
