I only drink coffee in the missionary position for the sole purpose of being black. No wait, I fucked that up. No I don't. I mean I don't always have it exactly the same every time. Different brew methods and different roasts and especially different baristas call for different styles of coffee recipes. Sometimes I like a bit of sugar. Sometimes not. But I think that people who refer to their coffee as being 'black' are drinking less-than-average coffee because decent coffee (even a lot of shit coffee) has a crema. Which means it can't truly be black. Because they aren't supertasters anon. Only about 25% of the population is. The rest have significantly fewer tastebuds (normal tasters 50%), or hardly any (nontasters 25%) hence the latter two aren't that sensitive to the bitter taste. Thus they can't tell what they're drinking in reality is terrible.

What's more, some even claim that they can tell the difference between coffees better if they're drinking it black which maybe is true, but only because if they diluted their drink they couldn't sense anything with their nonexistent tastebuds.

I used to drink sweetened tea. I stopped sweetening it for reasons and now I prefer it. It's honestly a matter of just getting used to shit without a sweetener like a lot of people are grown up used to.

As for coffee, I enjoy cheap shit as a pick me up, but the stuff destroys my insides most of the time cause I have shit health and I don't care much for the taste so long as it's diluted. I don't drink it too often. So yes I am a coffee pleb, but I don't give a fuck.

People generally add sugar and milk to hide the sour acidic taste of coffee. Dark roasts however taste the least acidic but also taste burnt. Light roasts have the most flavour but are acidic as fuck. The beans also factor in: robusta are acidic and sour while arabic is bitter but not acidic. Drinking a dark roast of arabic is probably what most people would find most palatable. One person's black coffee can be completely different from another person's "black coffee".
