Artichoke, fennel, creme fraiche.

The fennel was excellent. Lightly pickled in a nice sweet vinegar. That dill puree was a bit over powering though. And the green disk added not one single thing to the plate.

I don't remember what the cuts of deer were, but under that leaf is some shredded deer that had been braised, pressed and then pan fried in a disk. There is roasted beetroot with peanuts on top, a beetroot mayonnaise, some sticky grape. Bottom left is a little disk of beetroot gel/jelly. That was pointless and added nothing at all.

Every course was served in shot glasses. There would be like an "uni shooter" (uni, as in sea urchin roe, mixed in with some sort of liquid) for one course, and some sort of blended vegetable for another. They had serving trays of bent stainless steel with three shot-glass-sized holes in them.

Someone explain this to me. Northerners, and really anyone living anywhere that isn't London or the South, is a militant Labour voter, foaming at the mouth about fucking Westminster and how they don't care about the working man outside of London, that all of London is rich right-wing toffs. Meanwhile, in London, hipsters and cosmopolitan journalists are militant Labour voters too, tutting and rolling their eyes about the ignorant fucking retards living out in the sticks who all vote Tory, unlike themselves who are educated and therefore are left-wing.

Who is right? They can't both be right. I'm serious, the perception EVERYWHERE in the UK is that you vote Labour and those cunts in the city/country (delete as appropriate) vote Conservative. The countryside and the city can't BOTH be left-wing strongholds, else the Tories would never get voted in. Either the entirety of the Conservative votes are coming from a relatively small area of the South-East, which somehow manages to match the entire rest of the country voting Labour, or someone somewhere is lying. Which is it?
