I put broccoli and cauliflower in my mac n cheese. Sometimes mushrooms. Green beans are good too, but peas is going too far

i don't think it goes at all. never known why people put them in anglicised carbonara either. i mean i love peas but the bursting texture with chewy pasta, and that bright but insipid sweetness with the cheese, just don't go at all imo. even on the side.
