Maybe this isn't far enough back to truly be considered nostalgic, because they changed the shape when I was a teenager, not a child.

But fuck you General Mills I will never forgive you for changing the shape and flavor, this was my absolute favorite cereal and it tastes like chalk now you fucks

Also, shout out to Snapple Elements.

>> No.6407342

THIS.

Why the fuck did they have to change the shapes? That's what made that cereal special. You eat the banana and your brain tells you it tastes like a banana. You eat a wild berry and your brain tells you it tastes like...whatever the fuck a wildberry is.

Now that they're all just balls, you realize that each piece does in fact taste the same, because your mind can no longer fool you into any semblance of variation between bites.

Is anyone here old enough to remember 2 products about 18 years ago? There used to be a bagged frozen breaded veal patty sold in Sam's (I think) and then in regular grocery stores there was this long rectangular block of French Vanilla ice cream with a hard chocolate shell lightly drizzled on top. My parents used to buy them when we lived in St Louis, Mo and then we moved away and never saw them again. Not even when I returned to there a few years back for business could I find either. Both products were divine. The veal was hands down my fave meal that even a happy meal couldn't beat. And despite always loving chocolate ice cream, I could happily pick that Vanilla ice cream over chocolate anyday.

Well, Mom was a coffee nut. She liked her coffee a certain way, and would always buy milk locally because we were never rich enough to have a mini fridge in our hotel room, so she'd always buy just enough milk to get us through her coffee and our cereal, but never enough single serve cereal boxes to get us through the arguments. By the time we got to frosted flakes, we'd be arguing because we'd have already gone through our favourites and no kid wants to eat cornflakes.

God bless Mom, though, for finding the money to take us on vacation, but not the money or foresight to buy two packages of single serve cereal.
