Best style is a hard one. It really depends on the mood.

Great NY style is hard to beat if you're on the move and want to eat something in less than 10 minutes.

Great Chicago style is awesome on a cold day for a sit down meal.

And this is sort of on the border of what counts as pizza, but tarte flambe is a pretty awesome alternative.

Also, pepperoni and mushroom FTW.

You could have just said how it wasn't "lasagna pie." All the deep dish stuff I've seen has some variation of a lot of cheese, a lot of tomato sauce or both.

If we were talking hot dogs I'd go for the Chicago style over New York. This is pizza, and christ deep dish is like a culinary sideshow. It requires a fork unless you're wearing an apron and to me, that aint a pizza.

I once made a general tso's pizza while drunk; pizza dough, leftover general tso's chicken, sauce made from sweet chili sauce and sriracha, scallions, bell peppers, red onion, and cheese. It was a fucking delicious abomination of goodness. I've done the same thing with leftover curries, like butter chicken, kormas, and vindaloos.
