People who do this should be beaten to death.

Why did you use fucking spaghetti if you didn't actually want spaghetti? It's long for a reason. If you don't want that then use a different fucking pasta. This shit is actually messier to eat than normal-length spaghetti.

To cook pasta properly you should have a very large amount of water relative to the pasta. This prevents the temperature of the water from dropping too much when you add the pasta to the pot.

Let me break it down for you retarded americans

>fill a decent sized pot of water halfway
>add salt
>10 grams of salt per liter of water
>wait for water to come to a heavy boil
>take your spaghetti in two hands and twist it in the middle and release it into the middle of the pot
>now leave for 4-8 minutes depending on the type of spaghetti you are cooking
>never overcook your pasta
>if it's thin go for 4-5 min. then finish cooking in the sauce
>if it's regular spaghetti go for 6-7 min. and then finish in the sauce
>if it's bucattini go for 8-9 minutes and then finish with the sauce (very important to finish in sauce with bucattini)

shorter noodles don't wrap around the fork as well.

when the noodles look like this around your fork, it forms a more solid mass that gives a better texture when you chew it. short noodles are like having loose worms in your mouth.
