I'm a life long Texan, and I love BBQ. The best pulled pork I've had is from North Carolina, but half of it was due to some pretty bad ass home baked buns the place made. IMO pulled pork is not the best BBQ, hard to beat a plate of marble cut brisket with sausage and a loaded baked tater. Ironically the best brisket I've had was from a place in Mississippi called The Shed, place is seriously on a different level, had to wait like an hour for the food and they weren't even at full capacity.

Actually, smoked tri tip is pretty damn good, when it's made right. As a displaced Texas living in NorCal, I've learned to smoke a good tri tip, since brisket is so expensive here and you have to fucking ORDER one from the store, because they don't stock them all the time.

But yeah, now I do brisket, tri tip, ribs, country ribs, pulled pork, thick cut pork chops, smoked sausage, smoked turkey, smoked burgers, smoked chicken, smoked salmon, smoked sturgeon, and I've even smoked chicken livers for making terrine with. Now, not all of that can be considered bbq, but it's all delicious!
